
Job Summary
The hours for the position are between 12 and 24 hours per week. The position is under the general direction of the EMS Director and Assistant EMS Director, but the ideal candidate must possess the ability to function independently in the field while providing a high standard of patient care in both the emergent and non-emergent settings. The ability to interact in a professional manner with patients, other staff members, and the public is a must. Other duties include but are not limited to: vehicle/equipment checks, restocking, and other light station activities.
Minimum Requirements
Current AEMT or Paramedic certification in the State of Iowa, BLS, and ACLS (for paramedic). Valid Class D chauffeur’s license and a driving record acceptable for the City of Dysart’s insurance. Applicants will be subject to a background check.
